LEADURHAM - TEACHER & STUDENT FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Ignite Online Academy, the Office of Equity Affairs, and a number of community partners have come together to create the LEADurham Fellowship for students and teachers in grades 6-12 wishing to engage in social justice and equity conversations while taking action in their communities (note: elementary teachers may also apply). Student fellows will complete an independent study and have a weekly meetup with like-minded peers in a virtual space facilitated by a DPS teacher. Teacher fellows will receive free racial justice and equity professional development from leading community partners in addition to a stipend for facilitating student virtual meetups. Apply today to become a LEADurham Student Fellow or LEADurham Teacher Fellow. The deadline has been extended to August 31st for teachers and students. Please share widely. |
